When our school was founded 20 years ago, our core principle was simple: be student-centered and growth focused. This ethos remains and at New Foundations we maintain that in order for our children to thrive as leading members of society, they must grow academically, socially, and emotionally today.
As a recognized leader in whole-child development, NFCS has a waitlist of nearly 10,000 students. Our online application process is through a citywide lottery program called Apply Philly Charter.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in NFCS for the 2021-22 school year, please see the “New Students” link below to begin the Apply Philly Charter enrollment process. If you have questions about enrollment, please contact our administrative assistants.
New Foundations is a public charter school and accepts students through a lottery process. Preference is only given to siblings of current students. New Foundations Charter School cannot make acceptance decisions based on any other factors than the lottery, including, but not limited to, student achievement, special needs, income level, or race.
"NFCS provided me opportunities to create relationships with teachers, counselors, and other staff which would allow me to learn from their experiences. This has stuck with me through college as I’ve built relationships. I’ve learned how to ask for help when I need it and how to grow professionally as well."
