We are a big “small” school - a family rather than just a group of coworkers - so caring, kindness, and compassion matters in employee and employer relationships at New Foundations.
Our employees have the support and resources they need to grow personally and professionally, which enables our students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
New Foundations feels like a family. It is a place where everybody cares about each other from the administration to the support staff. The members of the NFCS community have a student-centered mindset, and as a team, strive to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of all students.
It is easy to love the families and community that make up New Foundations! Here, you are always supported, both in and out of the classroom. You are empowered to coach an athletic team, organize and play sports or games with coworkers, take on leadership roles, create clubs, and creatively plan your students' learning experience.
My favorite thing about working at New Foundations is the freedom I have in my classroom and the flexibility to create and change the content as needed to suit students' interests. The administration has always been very open to new ideas, supportive, and approachable.
Being a teacher at New Foundations is not so much being a part of a faculty but more like being part of a family. A family of educators who embrace the whole-child academically, socially and emotionally. For their success is our success. We are educators who truly care about our students and are proud to work in partnership with their families.
New Foundations is truly its own small community, which has made it a great place to work everyday. Being surrounded by hundreds of people, both staff and students, who are all focused on the success of themselves and those around them has created an environment that I look forward to going into every morning.
New Foundations feels like a second home. When I joined the NFCS family in 2014, I was welcomed with smiles and support from everyone. At NFCS we truly care for every student, providing them with the individualized support they need to learn and grow.
