Foundations Through Service

Community awareness & civic engagement

Being a thoughtful and compassionate leader is serving and preserving your community. With this in mind, we prioritize service-learning and put caring in action. The service-learning component of our curriculums are designed to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to what is needed for our families, neighbors, community, and society at large. Being informed, hands-on, and engaged advocates is a unique and highly regarded feature of the New Foundations experience.

Learning through stewardshiP

Service-learning is an in-the-field approach which connects the classroom to the community with care. Our teachers and staff develop opportunities for our students which help to bolster a character of citizenship, action and awareness. This depth of active engagement builds both compassion within and relationships with the many environments in which we live.

Awareness in action

It is one thing to say you believe in something and it is another to show up and stand up for the rights and wellbeing of society. Our students and staff demonstrate leadership by expressing understanding and knowledge of issues that affect us and our communities. The volunteering efforts of the New Foundations community bolsters this aspect of civic duty. Being an informed and active citizen is at the heart of our mission.

Investing in the community

What students learn today inspires who they become. It is our duty as educators, mentors, and administrators to ensure our students and their families have access to the resources necessary for lifelong success. By investing time and energy into our community we secure positive partnerships and opportunities that will leave a lasting impact for all involved.
