Community Garden
Service - Learning
is an educational approach that combines community service with academic learning. Students foster a deeper understanding of what they are learning in the classroom through real life, hands-on experience. New Foundations Charter School students will experience many service-learning projects throughout their education here at NFCS.

Second Grade Halloween Drive
Second grade hosted a Halloween Costume Drive to give back to our community. Through Social Studies, students learned about family and community, and in ELA they explored persuasion. To put these concepts into action, students wrote donation letters to the community, created signs, and helped sort all collected items. The costumes were then given out for free during the HSA Fall Fest on October 18. Afterwards, students felt proud and accomplished knowing they were able to help families in need.
Planting Trees with Pennypack on the Delaware
